Football Forecast: Week 15
It took almost all season but our staff finally ran into a small rough patch, picking only five of 11 winners a week ago. We're still well over .800 for the season while continuing on a record pace with just four games left in the season.

Davis vs. Nowata
Our Take: (Class 2A) Definitely a showdown of teams that have come from different ends of the spectrum in recent years. Perennial power Davis is playing in its third consecutive state title contest and has won 29 consecutive games. Nowata meanwhile is riding high in the midst of one of the biggest turnarounds in recent years after going winless in 2011 to 14-0 this year. The same two teams also met for the title 19 years ago and Davis won 28-0. It's definitely a showdown of contrasting styles as Nowata loves to throw the ball. Wyatt Steigerwald averages over 200 yards per game through the air and has thrown 37 TD passes. Davis counters with its traditional wishbone offense that continues to steamroll foe after foe.
Our Pick: Davis 27, Nowata 21
Thomas vs. Cashion
Our Take: (Class A) Many might say these two have been on a collision course all season long. Cashion's offense has been virtually unstoppable, being held under 40 points only once all season (a 20-13 win over Stratford two weeks ago). The Wildcats average nearly 217 yards a game rushing and another 232 through the air for outstanding balance. Thomas may not have quite the same scoring firepower but the Terriers also have allowed more than two touchdowns in a game just once (a 52-21 victory over Texhoma). Hayden Herrera leads the Thomas ground attack with Trent Dunaway adding an aerial threat as well. Can the Terrier defense rise to the occasion another time?
Our Pick: Cashion 28, Thomas 24
Heritage Hall 42, Locust Grove 36
Davis 27, Nowata 21
Cashion 28, Thomas 24
