Kade Hayes got the win for Latta. Considering Latta has beaten Rattan and Silo already, I would say: (1) Dale (2) Byng (3) Latta (4) Rattan (5) Silo (6) Tushka (7) Colbert (8) Sterling. This could change though depending on the Roff Tournament this weekend.

I never liked such early season rankings.....Very, very deceiving at times. Dale is without a doubt the best team in Class A this year. Dale has 3-4 pitchers that can start and win on any day of the state tournament. Dale did lose in a close game to Asher. The top teams in class B have beat Class A's power houses. But, outside of Dale, who have Class A top teams beat? Byng went extra innings against Soper at Byng on Thursday with their #1 on the bump. They also lost to Class B #1 Red OAk at Red Oak with their number 1 on the bump. Latta beat Silo today at Latta. To date, the only clear thing to me is that Latta should be ahead of Silo, although that game was on Latta's home field. Outside of this, it is clear that it is ''not clear''. Byng certainly has played the toughest schedule to date. My opinion on August 21, 2012 is : 1) Dale. ( 2-9) Rattan, Latta, Byng, Sterling, Silo, Tushka, Colbert, Wister. The month of September should she some light on the rankings.

I think Colbert beat Silo this year, and Soper is playing REALLY well! It's a toss up.
