Posts: 247- Posted: Friday, July 27, 2012 07:02:11 PMThe Pigskin Preview or Vype as some refer to the high school football magazine has released its annual predictions in Class
A for the 2012 season.
One may not consider these ratings and info contained in the publication reality,
but the reality is that this magaizine offers us our only published information
at this time and by doing so will offer each of us an opportunity to address
all the mistakes and dumb choices the mag made concerning our teams.
This year according to the ‘Pigskin Preview’, these are the strengths of each
district according to how each team was picked in its respective district and
then how it was ranked state wide in Class A.
Two teams from the same district were ranked #1 & #2 in the state and that
district did not rank as the toughest district in class. Interesting, huh?
District Rank
(According to Power Poll Totals) Remember, the Vype sports figures ranked each team in Class A from #1 to #58. I took each team’s ranking and added the points to come up with district’s
strength.
District 3 ranked as the toughest in class with a total of 161. Second best was District 5 at 166, followed in by District 7 with 195 points, District 1 with 223,
District 2 had 224, District 4 at 231, District 6 had 248, and District 8 was
supposedly the weakest with 263."Sometimes it is what you don't say that makes all the difference." Tee Hee

I am going to be surprised if it even gets close to being 'right-on' when the playoffs begin. It's going to be fun (2012 high school football)!Rule

The coaches' in District A-5 selected the Savages as the 2012 district champ. Notice that Wewoka was picked to finish in front of Caddo. The last game played in this year's district showdowns will find Wynnewood making that annual overnight trip to Wayne which could very well mean all the difference in how the champ is selected.
Wayne returns eight starters on either side of the ball, including running
back/linebacker Louden Johnson.
Wynnewood returns even more starters than Wayne, with nine back on each side of the ball.
The biggest of those returnees is Trey Knowles, who ran for
more than 1,400 yards and scored 30 touchdowns at running back and also had 62 tackles on defense.
“He's dropped about 15 pounds since last season and it's made a difference in
his 40 time,” Wynnewood coach Brad O'Steen
said.

You can read the article at the link below.
KNOWLES LEADS SAVAGES
While Wayne returns as the state champions, many favor Wynnewood to win the
district.
