To answer your question from a different forum...The answer I believe would be No!I don't know everything that goes on at Northeast but after losing 200+ students because of [font=Arial]erroneous information that Northeast was closing would be prove that they are not getting the athletes they've had in the past! So if they are and where recruiting that would be a major surprise!!! [/font]

Public/Private recruiting!
Well, lets look at it this way or do some comparisons. I know this is 3A basketball forum but I have to say this. Pointing fingers at private for recruiting why? Explain this to me why Jenks lost their coach for what?? Also my oldest son was an excellent football player from adair county and he went to football camp at a school in Sequoyah county. Guess what? They offered him an address from the town in which the school was located. He did not go to this school he chose T-S. He chose T-S not by influence but it was his choice. Now who is recruiting? If privates are recruiting what do you think publics are doing with the examples I gave? Now give some honest replies!

To make all the little private people happy here, i believe every school is guilty of recruiting in one fashion or another...it's not just a private school issue anymore nor was it ever just about them...yes the jenks and unions of the world have always been accused of it and long before the private schools i can assure you...where the private schools come under fire is that they LIMIT their enrollment there by gaining an advantage over the public schools and we have to service all argument...that is why this is always brought up, one side sees it and the other doesn't! Also i will mention why every school recruits period...did you guys know according to the ossaa that even the conversation from one kid enrolled at school (a) talking to another kid at school (b) and him saying so much as "hey our coach saw you play and liked you a lot and wished you were here" or even the kid saying "man i wish you would come here and play like we did in little leagues" is a form of recruiting...so it goes on everywhere!!!

Indian-Fan are you serious, by your statement it appears you shopped your son around and don't understand why people point fingers?? The way I see your example it sounds like T_S needs to be investigated.
Things could be worse. Suppose your errors were counted and published every day, like those of a baseball player.

You are completely wrong the camp was to keep his fitness over the summer so he wouldn't get to fat setting around. Has nothing to do with shopping! Why would T-S need to be investigated? Just like I stated it was "his choice". That is where his friends went so that had a big impact on his choice also. But I know you people have your own opinion that will never change about T-S. x"s and O's I would have to agree with your statements you have made about it goes on everywhere . but schools like Sequoyah take all the finger pointing cuz they are good. 15 years ago when T-S was getting kicked around by everyone in all sports there was no complaints right? but now that they have excelled in athletics they all want to cry "recruit". Even if T-S moved up to 4A in B-ball I think they would still be near the top. Reason being most of their schedule consist 4A and higher anyway.The reason I have made this comment is because everyone is saying move'em up a class and see how they do then.

Oh cool i just saw the academy after northeast so first thought was recruit but i guess not all private schools need to recruit talent good luck to yall this year i hopeful that we meet up

One question I have never understood, why would anyone complain about a school that is losing? It is only after they begin to dominate that it becomes a problem. You want to recruit crummy players and lose all the time? You won't hear a word from me.
Now that those guys Roy Williams liked are gone, he just doesn't care anymore.

not every school recruits, Skiatook doesn't. they are 0-9 in football and dont win much in any other sport. if they were recruiting they woudl be better

I could not of been happier when Verdigris beat up on TS 2 years ago!! Love to see a good private get beat, not because I think they recruit because I dont care, but because the private is always the top dog.
