Three of the top four seeds are still alive in the boys soccer state tournament. No. 1 Salesianum will face No. 5 Middletown and (2)Charter School of Wilmington will face (3) Caravel in the semifinals on Thursday at Appoquinimink. Here is a recap of the quarterfinals and the rest of the tournament.
QUARTERFINALS
(1) SALESIANUM 3, (9) CAESAR RODNEY 0: Andrew O'Malley had a goal and an assist as the Sallies advanced to the semifinals. Charles Wilson and Tyler Garvine also scored for Salesianum (14-2-1), which will now advance to play Middletown on Thursday at Appoquinimink. Goalie Bryce Morrow had 17 saves for the Riders (12-4-1)
(2) CHARTER SCHOOL OF WILMINGTON 2, (7) CONCORD 0: John Connolly and Ian Beringer each scored for the Force (15-1-1), which advanced to the state semifinals where they will face Caravel on Thursday at Appoquninimink. Brandon Raynor had nine saves for Concord (12-5).
(3) CARAVEL 3, (6) INDIAN RIVER 1: Kraig Ellis scored a goal and had an assist as the Bucs (14-2-1) advanced to the state semifinals where they will face Charter School of Wilmington on Thursday at Appoquinimink. Josh Mercer scored on a pass from Holden Wingate for Indian River (13-4)
(5) MIDDLETOWN 2, (4) SEAFORD 1: Biago Tocci and David Huegel each scored in the second half for the Cavaliers (14-3-1) which advanced to the state semifinals where they will play top-seeded Salesianum on Thursday at Appoquinimink. Oscar Castrejon scored for Seaford (15-6), which played two days after needing four overtimes to get past Sussex Tech.

(2) CHARTER SCHOOL OF WILMINGTON 3, (15) A.I. DU PONT 0: Dylan Sisler and Ian Berringer helped lead the Force (14-1-1) past the Tigers (10-6) in an opening round game at Caravel. Charter will next play Concord at 6 p.m. Monday at Caravel
(4) SEAFORD 2, (13) SUSSEX TECH 1 (4OT): Oscar Castrejon scored the game-winner in the fourth overtime as Seaford (14-1) rallied to advance to the quarterfinals. Alfred Cetoute tied the game for Seaford in the second half. Ariel Espinoza scored Sussex Tech’s only goal in the first half. The Ravens end the season at 8-4-2. Seaford will now play Middletown at 6 p.m. Monday at Dover
(5) MIDDLETOWN 1, (12)ST. MARK’S 0: Jack Gerlitz’s second-half goal was enough as the Cavaliers (13-3) won their opening round game at Dover. Goalie Thomas Dematteis had 14 saves for St. Mark’s (9-7). Middletown will now play Seaford at 6 p.m. Monday at Dover.
(7) CONCORD 2, (10) ARCHMERE 1: Jonathan Louisgnau and Anthony Fronczkowski each scored for the Raiders, who advanced to the quarterfinals with their win at Caravel. Trevor Brown scored the lone goal for Archmere (11-4-1). Concord will now play Charter School of Wilmington at 6 p.m. Monday at Caravel.
NOV. 11
(1) SALESIANUM 3, (16) TATNALL 0: Charles Wilson scored two goals and Dante Marini added a goal and an assist as the defending state champion Sallies advance to the quarterfinals. Salesianum (13-2-1) will face Caesar Rodney (12-3-1) at 8 p.m. Saturday at Caravel.
(9) CAESAR RODNEY 3, (8) ST. ELIZABETH 2: Jesse Marano, Aaron Boyce and Kevin Hall each scored a goal for the Riders (12-3-1), who rallied from a 2-0 first half deficit. Bryan Tiller and Chris Doherty each scored once in the loss for the Vikings (12-3-1).Caesar Rodney will face Salesianum (13-2-1) at 8 p.m. Saturday at Caravel.
(6) INDIAN RIVER 1, (11) DELAWARE MILITARY ACADEMY 0: Nick Izzo’s goal off a penalty kick in the first half was enough to propel the Indians into the quarterfinals. Indian River (13-3) will face Caravel (13-2-1) at 8 p.m. Saturday at Dover. Delaware Military Academy finished its season at 13-3.
(3)CARAVEL 5, (14) APPOQUINIMINK 0: Brock Niggebrugge scored three goals as the Buccaneers (13-2-1) advanced to the state quarterfinals. Lance Berry and Bayahtah Roberts also scored for Caravel, which will face Indian River (13-3) at 8 p.m. Saturday at Dover. Appoquinimink finished its season at 9-6-1.
