The Carver-Montgomery and Valley high school boys basketball programs, which were placed on restrictive probation last February after their involvement in an unsportsmanlike incident during their regional basketball game, will have that probation lifted Jan. 20.
Both schools have fulfilled and surpassed all mandated requirements under the probation and will now be eligible to participate in the basketball championship program. Both school teams were removed from the regional tournament last year and have been limited to only regular season play this season.
Both programs will remain on AHSAA probation through the 2010-11 basketball season. Any incident of this nature during this probationary period will result in restrictive sanctions.
