Here are some top performers from last week's Illinois high school sports scene:
Marquette senior Rob Dunn rushed for 203 yards and five touchdowns in the Crusaders' loss to Fulton 41-38.
Matt Stevenson had 159 yards on just nine carries in Fieldcrest's 27-0 win over Blue Ridge. As a team, Fieldcrest had 372 yards on the ground.
Virden defeated Girard 25-8 in the final Prairie State Conference game between the two schools, which will consolidate into one school next year.
Junior quarterback Jack Hanlon produced four touchdowns, three passing and one rushing, to help Kincaid South Fork end its 35-game losing streak with a 42-32 win over Nokomis. The streak dates back to the second week of the 2005 season, when the Ponies also defeated Nokomis.
Bryan McCullough ran for 240 yards on 12 carries, with an 82-yard touchdown run, as Robinson defeated Newton 30-6.
Jonell Crump scored five touchdowns, ran for 229 yards on just 12 carries, and led Mooseheart to a 46-36 win over Christian Life.
Jefferson snapped a 17-game losing streak with a 34-12 win over Auburn. Jefferson had only 28 yards in total offense at halftime and were tied 6-6 before erupting in the second half.
Washington defeated Metamora 28-7 for its first win in the last 20 games against its Mid-Illini Conference opponent.
In a battle between two 2008 playoff teams, defending 3A champion Illini West scored on five of its first eight plays and crushed 2A quarterfinalist Bushnell-Prairie City 70-18.
Dakota Smith ran for 215 yards, and teammate Corey Dawson had 173 yards and three touchdowns as Farmington rushed for 532 yards as a team in its 47-27 win over Cerro-Gordo.
Josh Simeur scored five touchdowns to lead Manteno to a 45-14 win over Westmont.
Tommy Rees of Lake Forest, a Notre Dame recruit, passed for 526 yards and six touchdowns in the Scouts 56-48 loss to Kenosha Bradford.
Boys Cross-Country
Lukas Verzbicas, a sophomore at Sandburg High School, broke his own course record by more than 16 seconds to win the Lyons Invite. He finished 56 seconds ahead of the runner-up Sam Telfer of Lyons.
While fasting as part of his observance of Ramadan, Shadly Diab of Harlem won the boys senior race at the Harlem Invitational.
Girls Tennis
The Quincy High School girls tennis team won the Moline Invitational championship for the first time in 20 years.
