Class 6A
Jenks 28, Edmond Memorial 14
Zack Langer's two fourth-quarter touchdowns helped No. 1 Jenks hold off an upset-minded Edmond Memorial, 28-14, in their quarterfinal matchup.

Jenks' Zack Langer
Memorial tied the game at 14 with a 17-yard TD pass from Kameron Doolittle to Parker Langford with just under 5:00 to play in the third quarter. The score stayed knotted until Langer scored on a five-yard run with 9:32 to play in the contest.
He then sealed the win with a 58-yard gallop four minutes later. It was his third TD of the night and part of a 32-carry, 268-yard performance.
Jenks built a 14-0 lead in the game's first seven minutes as Langer ran one in from 14 yards out and Tyler Ott caught a 30-yard TD pass from Sawyer Kollmorgen.
Kollmorgen finished the day 14-for-20 for 203 yards, but Jenks' offense remained scoreless for more than two full quarters before Langer saved the day.
Tenth-ranked Memorial cut its early deficit in half near the end of the half on Josh Sierra's one-yard TD run late in the first half.
The Bulldogs' season ended at 8-4 while Jenks moved to 12-0.
Broken Arrow 24, Midwest City 17
Alex Cochran's 52-yard touchdown reception from Archie Bradley on the final play of the first half proved to be the difference as Broken Arrow held on for a 24-17 victory over Midwest City.

Broken Arrow's Archie Bradley
Bradley's TD pass was his second on the night and put the Tigers up 14-3 at the half. That lead eventually grew to 21-3 in the third quarter on Bradley's 19-yard TD run after one of four Midwest City fumbles on the night.
But Midwest City started to come alive, scoring on two of its next three possessions. The scores included a 39-yard pass from Greg Austin to James Flanders in the third and a five-yard TD run by J.R. Head in the fourth. Broken Arrow's Carl Salazar sandwiched in a 37-yard field goal for his team's final points.
The Tiger defense then stopped two Midwest City drives late in the game, one by forcing a fumble and the final one on downs.
Bradley finished with 210 passing and 71 rushing yards. Austin threw for 299 yards for the Bombers.
Southmoore 49, Bartlesville 28
Southmoore built a 21-point first-half lead and never looked back as the infant program advanced to the semifinals in only its second year with a 49-28 victory over Bartlesville.

Southmoore's Kendal Thompson
The fourth-ranked Sabercats (11-1) scored 28 second-quarter points en route to a 35-14 halftime lead. The surge was led by Derek Serowski, had TD receptions of 59 and 64 yards from Kendal Thompson in the quarter. Andrew Long added touchdown runs of 5 and 32 yards in the first half as well.
In all, Thompson accounted for 273 total yards, 189 through the air. Long added 193 yards on the ground while Serowski, who caught a one-yard TD from Austin Haywood in the second half, had four catches for 127 yards.
Eighth-ranked Bartlesville (9-3) tried to keep up, and scored two touchdowns in each the second and fourth quarters. Kirby Schoenthaler completed 12 of his 30 passes for 259 yards and three scores, but his four interceptions hindered the upset hopes.
Union 63, Lawton 25
There were no first-half struggles for the defending champs in the second round as Union scored on six of its first seven possessions en route to a 63-25 triumph over Lawton.

Union's Thomas Roberson
Union improved to 11-1 and will face rival Broken Arrow in the semifinals. The Redskins defeated BA 17-6 in Week 1. No. 7 Lawton saw its season end with a 9-3 mark.
The second-ranked Redskins got rushing touchdowns from six different players, finished with 258 yards on the ground, held Lawton to 79 rushing yards and added a pair of special teams scores.
The first came on a fake field goal when Luke Snider ran the ball to the left side for a 26-yard score and a 14-0 Union lead.
Thomas Roberson also had a 55-yard punt return for a score to go along with the 50-yard TD he caught from Chase Boyce. Both of those scores came in a 28-point third-quarter outburst by Union.
That came after the Redskins had already built a 28-10 halftime lead.
Class 5A
Carl Albert 34, Bishop Kelley 31 (2OT)
The semifinals won't feature either of the top two teams at the regular season's end. Both fell to defeat in the quarterfinals, including No. 2 Bishop Kelley's 34-31 loss at home to Carl Albert in double overtime.
The fourth-ranked Titans' J.T. Realmuto scored the game-winning TD, a one-yard run in the second extra frame, as part of a Herculean effort that saw the QB carry the ball 41 times for 184 yards. He added 82 yards and one TD pass, a 28-yarder to Markell Walker.

Carl Albert coach Gary Rose
Carl Albert had a 21-7 lead in the fourth quarter, but Kelley tied it with a pair of scores in the final 8:45. Comet QB Jack Cameron had scoring runs of 22 and 4 yards.
The teams swapped TDs in the first overtime as Realmuto scored from 1 yard out first and Kelley's Stephen Sherwood, who finished with 102 rushing yards, ran one in from five yards out.
That's when things went south for Kelley, which had the ball first in the second OT. The Comets had holding and delay of game penalties on their possession and ultimately settled for a 38-yard field goal from Robert Williams.
Three plays later - all runs by Realmuto - and the Titans were back in the semifinals.
The Titan defense put up an impressive performance, holding Kelley to just over 200 yards of offense. Included was holding Joe Dowdell, one of the state's more productive receivers, to just one catch.
Bixby 28, Shawnee 21
Seventh-ranked Bixby scored 21 unanswered points to shock No. 1 Shawnee, 28-21, in a 5A quarterfinal matchup of teams headed for Class 6A next season.
Bixby fell behind 14-0 early and trailed 21-7 at the half, but held the previously unbeaten Wolves scoreless in the final two quarters.

Bixby's Austin White
The game-winner came on a halfback pass of 37 yards from DeWitt Jennings to Donovan Wilson with just under four minutes to play in the game. The Spartans then denied the Wolves from the 1-yard-line on their final possession to secure the win.
Jennings also had runs of 31 and 21 yards on the winning 98-yard drive. He finished the day with 119 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.
Shawnee's Brayle Brown had three TD passes in the first half and finished with 219 yards through the air, but fumbled near the goal line to end Shawnee's last drive in the closing seconds.
Shawnee led 14-0 after a quarter after Brown hit Leon Davis with strikes of 15 and 17 yards. He added a 31-yarder to Sauyler Saxon for the 21-7 lead. Jennings kept Bixby in it with a 27-yard TD run in the second and an 8-yard TD in the third. Austin White added and 11-yard TD reception from Kevin Lamb in the third quarter.
Bixby, which managed 327 balanced yards, was able to extract the win despite three turnovers and 75 yards in penalties.
Guthrie 25, Tulsa East Central 24
First it was eighth-ranked Duncan. This time, it was No. 5 East Central.
The upsets keep on coming for unranked Guthrie as the surging Bluejays moved into the semifinals with an unlikely 25-24 victory at Tulsa East Central.

Guthrie's Bryan Dutton
With 9:48 left on the clock, QB Bryan Dutton lobbed a 55-yard bomb to Corbin Crockett for what proved to be the game-winning score.
That came just one offensive snap after the Cardinals increased their lead to 24-18 with a field goal, unable to score a TD inside the Bluejay 10.
The game, however, may have been won in the first quarter when Kentrell Brothers ran in a two-point conversion on fake extra-point attempt just after he'd caught a 39-yard TD from Dutton. That put Guthrie (8-4) up 8-7 and proved to be a crucial point.
Brother added a 29-yard interception return for touchdown later in the quarter. However, East Central was able to take a 21-15 lead into halftime thanks to scoring runs of Jaimon Gilstrap of 16 and 1 yards and a 22-yarder by Chakeal Armstrong.
The Cardinals, however, were held to just three second-half points. Their last-ditch effort to score ended when Dillon Wallace's pass was intercepted at the Guthrie 2 inside of a minute to play.
East Central (10-2) out-gained Guthrie 337-229. The Cardinals had 283 rushing yards while Guthrie was held to just 26 on 21 attempts.
El Reno 21, McAlester 14
Third-ranked El Reno kept its perfect record intact, but only by a yard against McAlester.
The Indians denied Buffalo QB Tony Kiefer on a fourth-and-goal play inside the 1 with 44 seconds left to secure a 21-14 victory and move into the semifinals for the second straight year.

El Reno's Tank Mulanax
It was one of three times the Buffaloes were denied after moving inside of El Reno's 10. Two other drives were halted by interceptions by Cory Dauphin and Travis Johnson.
Offensively, QB Jakeil Everheart kept the winning drive alive with a 23-yard run on a 4th-and-2 at the McAlester 41. He later hit Matt Pruitt with a nine-yard TD pass that ended up being the game-winner.
Everheart finished with 134 yards rushing on 11 carries. He passed for 71 yards, completing 7 of 12 attempts.
McAlester took the early lead with a 3-yard TD run by Kiefer. El Reno scored a touchdown in each the first and second quarters (an 18-yard pass from Everheart to Jovia Franklin and a 1-yard Dauphin run) for the halftime lead.
Kiefer struck again in the fourth, this time from five yards out, but was denied on his final attempt to tie the game late.
Kiefer threw for 219 yards on 14-of-25 passing, but was picked off three times by the Indians. McAlester added 155 yards on the ground and out-gained El Reno 374-253.
Class 4A
Sallisaw 20, McGuinness 14
For the first time in four years, there will be no McGuinness in the 4A championship game. In fact, the Irish won't even be in the semifinals in 2009 thanks to Sallisaw.
The Black Diamonds were held scoreless in the second half, but still managed to hold on for a 20-14 victory to move into the final four of Class 5A.
No. 6 Sallisaw scored three first-half touchdowns and led the second-ranked Irish 20-7 at the half. In the second half, however, Sallisaw managed just 62 total yards. Fourteen of those yards came on a 3rd-and-9 play deep in Sallisaw (11-1) territory with two minutes to play. QB Matt Oberste scrambled for 14 yards to keep the drive alive and end the Irish hopes of completing the comeback.
Oberste, who had 194 passing yards and 93 more on the ground, completed Sallisaw's scoring in the first half with a three-yard TD pass to Andrew Miller. That came after scoring runs of 1 and 18 yards by Jeremy Davenport.
LaRone Richardson, who finished with 155 yards on 20 carries, kept the Irish in the game with a 10-yard TD run in the first half. The Irish also got a four-yard scoring run from Camden Tharp in the second half.
However, McGuinness (9-3) could get nothing going with its passing game, managing just 41 yards through the air, and was held to 200 yards of offense overall. Sallisaw only managed 276 itself.
Star Spencer 44, Oologah 29
Star Spencer's speed proved to be too much for Oologah as the Bobcats pulled away in the second half for a 44-29 victory and a spot in the semifinals.

Star Spencer's Darwin Rideau
Terrence Olds had TD runs of 75 and 12 yards in the fourth quarter, the former giving his team a two-touchdown cushion that finally wouldn't be threatened by the pesky visitors. Olds finished the contest with 143 yards on the ground, most of which came in the second half.
Star had 223 hard-fought yards on the ground, but also committed four turnovers. The Bobcats were clinging to a one-point lead late in the first half when Franky Jamison hit Darwin Rideau for a 70-yard touchdown and a 22-15 lead.
The Bobcat defense surrendered 320 total yards, including 121 through the air by QB Alec Brunson. However, the Bobcats also picked him off five times.
Three of those picks were by Charles Mitchell, the first of which he returned 65 yards for TD to give Star its first points of the game.
Douglass 14, Wagoner 0
Douglass has yet to give up a point in the playoffs as the Trojans notched their second straight 14-0 victory, this time over Wagoner in the 4A quarterfinals. The Trojans also knocked off defending champ Glenpool 14-0 in the first round.
Wagoner's offense was almost non-existent against the Trojans as the Bulldogs tallied 44 yards. Total.
That stat includes five rushing yards on 25 attempts. Wagoner had zeros on the board in the first half: Zero points, Zero first downs, Zero total yards.
Wagoner's defense looked up to the task as well, holding Douglass scoreless for more than three quarters. It took two Kevin Forbes touchdown runs (6 and 23 yards) to break the game open.
Forbes finished the game with 132 yards rushing on 22 attempts. The Trojans managed just 215 yards themselves.
On the rainy night in Wagoner, the teams combined for 10 fumbles, though only one was lost.
Weatherford 20, Broken Bow 2
More information to come.
Class 3A
Dewey 19, Clinton 14
Delans Griffin rushed for a pair of touchdowns, but that proved to be all the scoring Clinton could muster as Dewey marched into the state semifinals.

Dewey's Casey Strate
Dewey's passing attack was the difference, thanks largely to the duo of Casey Strate and Clint Strate, who connected for three touchdown passes, covering 52, 45 and 28 yards. Clint Strate finished with 259 yards passing and Casey Strate grabbed nine of those tosses for 254 yards.
Clinton managed just 23 rushing yards in the first half and didn't get a whole lote more than that in the second half against a fierce Bulldogger defense led by 10 tackles each from Loren Dillon and Stephen Eastham.
Berryhill 20, Blanchard 6
For three quarters it looked as if Blanchard might pull off a second straight defensive gem. That is until Berryhill unleashed it's passing attack.
Chief quarterback Tyler Brown threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Dolan and another nine-yard scoring toss to Tyler Johnson to put away the Lions in a defensive struggle.
Blanchard got 63 of its 204 yards for the game on a cross country touchdown run by John McCracken in the third quarter. The Lions were also stymied by six fumbles, three of which they lost.
Brown threw for 64 yards and also chipped in a seven-yard touchdown run.
Cascia Hall 28, Purcell 7

Cascia Hall's Ryan Cordell
It was another stellar defensive effort for top-ranked Cascia Hall as the Commandos upped their winning streak to 39 straight.
Cascia put it away early as Stephen Rouse fired a 17-yard touchdown pass, the first of his two in the contest to go with a three-yard scoring run. The Commandos then immediately added to the lead when Garrett Waller picked up a fumble and returned it 12 yards to paydirt.
The Commandoes actually were outgained 155-152 on the ground, but made the most of each opportunity.
Seq. Claremore 40, Tuttle 14
Sequoyah set the tone with back-to-back 80-yard touchdown runs by Michael Wangsgard and Cody Richardson on the way to thumping previously unbeaten Tuttle.
The Tigers led 7-6 after an Ethan Biddy 44-yard scoring burst in the first quarter but after that it was all Sequoyah as the Eagles built a commanding 33-7 lead at the half.
Sequoyah rolled up 368 yards rushing on just 33 carries while holding Tuttle to 165 on the ground and 95 in the air.
Class 2A

Sperry's B.J. Driver
Derek Patterson's four-yard TD pass to Jacob York with .07 showing on the clock tied the game, then Ramon Zapata's extra point won it as Kingfisher moved into the second round for the fourth straight year with an unlikely 33-32 win at No. 5 Bridge Creek. The TD pass capped a 96-yard drive in the final 2:23 after Kingfisher stopped Bridge Creek from sealing the win on a 4th-and-goal play from the Jacket 4. Patterson threw for 291 yards and four TDs, two to Jordan Woods, as he guided KHS back from deficits of 16-0 and 32-19. The Jackets had a tough time containing Bridge Creek QB Ryan Spangler, who threw for 359 yards and four scores of his own .... The seventh-ranked Jackets will host unranked Sperry in the quarterfinals after the Pirates put together their second consecutive impressive performance in a 55-22 win at home against Stigler. Sperry rushed for 438 yards on 45 carries against an overmatched Stigler defensive unit. B.J. Driver had 150 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries; Barret Bowman added 101 yards and a score on 13 carries. QB Jarret Radford led Stigler as he passed for 280 yards and two TDs. He added another TD on the ground .... Defending champ and 10th-ranked Heritage Hall can still defend its crown as it moved into the quarters with a convincing 48-8 victory against Lindsay. The Chargers trailed 8-7 early, but scored the game's final 41 points. Barry Sanders scored four touchdowns on runs of 65, 59 and 18 yards and an interception return of 44 yards. The Chargers rushed for 333 yards on just 20 attempts. Lindsay, wich got a John Pinnick two-yard run and a two-point pass from Scott Hacker to Kris Milligan to take that early lead, managed only 55 rushing yards on 31 carries .... The Hall now travels to Pawhuska, which advanced to the third round with its own impressive showing, 34-0 at Morris. Hank Powell and Kyle Culver accounted for two touchdowns apiece in the win. Powell had a 3-yard TD run and a 98-yard interception return for scores. Culver had a 50-yard scoring jaunt and added a 40-yard TD strike to Tino Hall. The Huskies' defense not only pitched a shutout and scored a TD, but also recorded a first-quarter safety .... Last year's runner-up is now out of the playoffs as No. 9 Chandler dropped a narrow 14-13 decision at home to No. 8 Verdigris. Brandon Melton's 37-yard intereption return for a touchdown with 3:13 left in the third quarter tied the game at 13. Tyler Hanslovan's extra-point proved to be the winner for the Cardinals. It completed a two-score deficit for Verdigris which trailed 13-0 and didn't score in the first half. They got their first TD in the third as Kevin Stout scored from 25 yards away, one of few big gains on the ground by either team. Verdigris had just 69 rushing yards, but the Cardinal defense also held Chandler to just 55 on 41 carries. The defense picked off three Chandler passes in all .... The Cardinals will play host to No. 4 Millwood, which outlasted Washington 33-23 just days after the death of Leodies Robinson, considered the father of Millwood football. Thanks largely to Kevonte Richardson and Emilio Gatewood, Millwood led 19-7 at the half and 27-7 entering the fourth before Washington made it interesting with a pair of fourth-quarter TDs and two-point conversions. Richardson threw for 192 yards and two scores, a 22-yarder to Josh Turner and a 30-yarder to Shevin Patton. Gatewood added TD runs of 1, 13 and 1 yards, the last of which gave the Falcons a 33-7 lead. Millwood had 398 yards of offense. The defense forced Washington into five turnovers as it picked off three passes and recovered a pair of fumbles .... The best third-round matchup on paper will see No. 1 Lincoln Christian travel to No. 2 Davis. Lincoln Christian got to this point with a 30-0 victory at home against Beggs. The Demons were held to just 155 yards and was Lincoln Christian's fifth shutout in seven games. Cale Grauer led the LC offensive attack as he threw for 284 yards and three scores. Roman Wilson caught two of those TDs (8 and 27 yards) and also kicked a 27-yard field goal. Beggs had just eight first downs on the night. The Lincoln Christian defense has given up 12 points in its last seven games .... Chris Campbell's 53-yard TD run with 4:01 left in the game sealed Davis' 20-13 victory at home over John Marshall. Campbell led the unbeaten and second-ranked Wolves with 118 yards on 16 carries as Jody Weber got career win No. 100. Campbell's long run gave Davis a 20-7 lead after the game was tied at 7-7 in the third quarter on an 84-yard TD run by the Bears' Miles Jackson. Logan Webb broke the tie with a 2-yard scoring run. John Marshall, held to 204 yards of total offense, got its final touchdown as time expired. Matt Burba also scored a rushing TD for the Wolves, who ran for 249 yards in the second half alone.
Class A
Carnegie came into Friday's second round playoff game with Hennessey sporting one of the top scoring offenses in Class A. The second-ranked Eagles, however, utilized a ball control attack to roll to a 41-7 victory and improve to 12-0 on the season. Carnegie was limited to 131 yards offensively. Matt Luetjen notched another stellar effort for the Hennessey offense with 217 total yards, running for four touchdowns while passing for two more in the dominating win .... Talihina continued its undefeated run in convincing fashion with a 38-7 thumping of Commerce. Jordan Eagle Road threw a pair of touchdown passes and also ran for a 75-yard score to pace the Golden Tiger offensive charge .... Undefeated Cashion began to assert itself late in the second quarter and never looked back en route to a 41-21 triumph against Velma-Alma. The Wildcats rolled up 383 yards rushing, scoring 34 of the game's final 42 points. Jeremy Seaton and Colin Willis rushed for three touchdowns apiece, five of which came from eight yards or less. Dustin Sloan threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score while totaling 180 yards of offense .... Watonga put the defensive clamps on previously unbeaten Ringling and capitalized on a big second half from quarterback Trevon Hartfield to notch a 24-14 victory. After a slow first half, Hartfield got the Eagle offense rolling with seven- and three-yard touchdown tosses to Javis Flynn in the third period to bust open a game in which Watonga led 3-0 at halftime. Hartfield completed 14 of 31 for 151 yards and also put the finishing touches on the victory with a 17-yard scoring burst in the fourth quarter .... A 21-point flurry midway through the game put Stroud ahead to stay as the Tigers stayed unbeaten with a 21-13 win over perennial power Pawnee. It came down to a late stand by the Stroud defense, however, as Pawnee rallied to within eight on a 46-yard touchdown pass from Tate Beer to Adam Bruns with 30 seconds left. The Black Bears then recovered the on-side kick and were throwing into the end zone in the waning seconds when Dakota Biswell came up with an interception. Cody Pritchard topped the 322-yard offensive attack with 165 yards on 31 rushing attempts, scoring once .... Jake Love scored four touchdowns on runs of 1, 58, 1 and 15 yards and the Tonkawa defense fired a shutout in a 27-0 whitewashing of Stratford .... Oklahoma Bible scored early and often in a 51-8 romp on the road at Cordell. The Trojans return home this week against Salina, which shut down Central Sallisaw, 26-8.
Class B
Garber 58, Kiefer 12
Coming off the first playoff win in school history, Kiefer rolled into the second round with a load of momentum. It didn't matter though as the Trojans proved to be little match for top-ranked Garber.
The defending state champs ran their eight-man best winning streak to 26 with a dominant victory as the Wolverines ended the contest early in the third quarter on the mercy rule.
Dylan Postier had a workman-like first half, throwing for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns to Bryce Lamer as well as another to Zac Powell.
Ostin Broadhead threw touchdown passes to C.J. Ashwood and Nick Livingston, but only managed 138 yards through the air for the game. The Trojans ended with minus-four yards rushing.
Canton 38, Porter 16
Porter's unbeaten season came to a screeching halt as second-ranked Canton took control early and never looked back.
Colby Haigler was unstoppable, rushing for two touchdowns and added three more through the air.
Haigler built a quick 24-0 lead for the Tigers scoring on a two-yard rush before throwing a 25-yard touchdown to Josh Taylor and 12-yard strike to Monty Cruz.
Marcus Scarborough rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns, but that proved to be the only Pirate offensive threat.
Laverne 36, Davenport 22
Laverne got off to a slow start offensively, but finished fast to notch a second consecutive impressive road victory.
The Tigers spotted host Davenport a 22-12 halftime advantage before rallying behind standout signal-caller Jack Taylor. The Tigers outscored the Bulldogs, 16-0, in the third quarter to take the lead and then added 14 more points in the final stanza.
Davenport ended with 416 yards offensively but it wasn't enough.
Ryan 40, Depew 33
It was another huge effort by Ryan's running attack to outlast another physical challenger at home.
The Cowboys were once again keyed by quarterback Colby Barrett, who accounted for more than 200 yards on the ground for a second straight week.
Ryan has now scored 88 points in its first two playoff wins.
Class C
DC-Lamont 16, Shattuck 12
Shattuck's record-breaking 93-game winning streak was snapped as a late rally fell short.
Down 16-6 at halftime, the Indians narrowed the gap to four on a 55-yard touchdown pass from Brett Starbuck to Kelby Schick. Shattuck then marched to the DC-Lamont 36 midway through the final period but were held on downs.
Derric Richards rushed for 129 yards to lead the way for DCLA. He rushed for a six-yard touchdown and added a 10-yard scoring toss to Lawson Thompson. Thompson also contributed both two-point conversions.
Timberlake 56, Tipton 16
The Timberlake defense forced four turnovers and quieted a dangerous Tipton attack.
Timberlake's offense was virtually unstoppable in racing to a 44-0 lead before cruising the rest of the way. The Tigers racked up 373 yards on the ground and another 103 through the air from quarterback Jake Bowers.
Bowers ran for 25- and 11-yard scores and added a 21-yard touchdown toss to Austin Reuff and 41-yard score to Drew Fischer in the early barrage.
Forgan 24, Covington-Douglas 22
Rhett Radcliff ran for three second half touchdowns as Forgan utilized a dramatic second half comeback to erase a 22-0 halftime deficit.
Covington-Douglas dominated the opening 24 minutes as junior Dylan Sterling scored on 9- and 8-yard touchdown runs and fired a 13-yard touchdown pass as well.
Radcliff scored from four yards and six yards out and added both two-point conversion carries to narrow the gap to 22-16. Radcliff then scored an eight-yard burst to tie it before Matt Morris carried in for the two-point conversion.
Seiling 32, Waynoka 12
More information to come.
