Although it's a bit shy of the state record 629 yards passing of Atoka's L.T. Pfaff a year ago against Marietta, Stigler's Jarret Radford raised plenty of eyebrows with his 510 yards through the air last week against Prague, completing 29 of 41, including seven for touchdowns.
"That's the best I've ever seen a kid throw in one game in my career," Stigler coach Chris Risenhoover said afterward.
Radford, who is just a junior, has exploding on recruiting radars all over with a spectacular campaign. He has 2,889 yards and 31 touchdowns while completing more than 61 percent of his passes.
It didn't take long for Risenhoover to make his mark either as the Panthers have taken well to the one-back spread attack with a 9-2 record.
In addition to Radford completely rewriting the school's passing record book, he's had a record breaking receiver to throw to in senior John Parsons, who has established new season and career marks in yards and touchdowns. This season, Parsons has 1,300 yards and 13 scores.
