Week 12 Hot List

By DAVID WASSON
CoachesAid.com Alabama content coordinator

There were plenty of exciting football games across the state during the second week of the playoffs, and that also means an abundance of individual superlative efforts across the state on both sides of the ball. As always, it is hard to whittle down to 10, but here is the Week 12 Alabama Hot List:

Deion Belue, Deshler: The Alabama-bound running back piled up 287 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns – including his sixth straight game in which he returned either a punt or a kickoff for a touchdowns – in a 49-13 romp over Central-Florence.

Josh Magee, Hoover: He snagged six Ryan Carter passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. His 61-yard scoring catch in the final minutes was the game-winning score against Jess Lanier.

Kezmond Myles, McAdory: The defensive tackle did more than plug up gaps, he had two sacks and a safety in a 20-7 win against Walker.

Frank Rivers, Fairfield: A debated late holding call kept him from leading the game-winning drive against top-ranked Cullman. The first-year senior starter went out with a bang with 237 yards and three scores through the air. He even added 49 rushing yards.

Jonathan Rose, Leeds: Had a 68-yard interception return score and a 71-yard touchdown catch in a 34-12 rout of Glencoe.

Cameron Cutts, Bibb County: The running back racked up 140 yards on 14 carries, overshadowing backfield make Jacquail Rutledge, and two touchdowns in a 22-6 victory over Anniston.

Michael Bradford, Lamar County: The running back gained 145 yards on 29 carries and scored three touchdowns in a 28-27 victory over Tanner.

Milton Chambliss, Reeltown: The quarterback made the most of his three completions against Saint Jude, completing them for 137 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-6 victory.

Floyd Jones, R.A. Hubbard: The return man brought back a punt 47 yards for a first-quarter touchdown, then took the second-half kickoff 76 yards for another TD in a 40-12 romp over Berry.

Damion Bracy, Jackson: The running back recorded 157 yards on 19 carries with three touchdowns in a 45-13 victory over Opp.
