FOOTBALL
Robbie Delgado, East Providence: Delgado did it all for the Townies on Friday, proving to be a double threat on the ground and through the air en route to a 42-12 rout of St. Raphael. The junior quarterback tallied four touchdowns on the night, with a 43-yard run and a 9-yard run, in addition to 11-yard and 9-yard TD passes. The win helped EP keep pace with La Salle at the top of the Division I standings, and also moved the Townies up to No. 2 in the CA rankings.

Mike Flanagan, Bishop Hendricken: Flanagan didn't waste any time in helping the Hawks jump out to an early lead on Friday against Cranston West. The senior speedster found the end zone three times in the first quarter alone, before the Falcons even knew what hit them. He finished the night with scoring runs of 35 yards, 11 yards and 23 yards.

BOYS SOCCER
Christian Medeiros, West Warwick: Medeiros has been scorching the nets of late, going through a three-game stretch with a hat trick in each game. He started things off with a three-goal performance two weeks ago, and then continued his tear last week with another three (and an assist) in a 4-1 win over Davies, followed by three more in Thursday's 5-1 road win against Burrillville. He completed his week with two more tallies on Monday in a 5-2 win over North Smithfield.
See for yourself: Wednesday at Johnston, 3:30 p.m.
Offense, Tiverton: It was an all-around team effort for the Tigers' offense in last Tuesday's game with Burrillville, as seven different Tiverton players scored goals in a 7-2 win. Andrew Kinnane, Andrew Sampaio, Jordan Moniz, Steven Mauricio, Ryan Soares, Eric Barboza and Jeffrey Sampaio all found the back of the Broncos' net. Jared Ramunno assisted on three of the tallies, while Corey Newbury dished out a pair as well. Mauricio and Kinnane also added helpers in the win.

GIRLS SOCCER
Stephanie Ribeiro, Cumberland: Ribeiro has been leading the way offensively for the Clippers all season, and yet she's only a sophomore. This means that Cumberland head coach Frank Sales has a lot to look forward to in the next two years of coaching her. She showed some of her best stuff this past week, first netting four goals in a 5-2 win at Warwick Veterans on Tuesday, then scoring all three of her team's goals in a 3-2 edging of North Kingstown on Thursday.
See for yourself: Thursday vs. Portsmouth, 6:30 p.m.
Mariah Gonzalez, Burrillville: Gonzalez started the week off in style with a pair of goals in Wednesday's 4-2 road win over Middletown. She then followed that up with a hat trick on Friday, helping the Broncos do what no team has been able to do all season --- defeat the top-ranked Tiverton Tigers. Her three tallies led the way in a 4-2 win.
See for yourself: Wednesday at Narragansett, 3:30 p.m.
FIELD HOCKEY
Lindsey Buckheit, East Greenwich: Buckheit helped her team post a pair of wins last week, tallying a total of six points. In Thursday's 3-0 blanking of Lincoln High, the junior scored once and helped on two others. Then on Monday, she netted two goals and assisted on one more in a 9-0 hammering of Tiverton.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
East Providence: The Townies finally hit the bulls-eye on the target that's been on La Salle's back for the last three years. The Rams entered Tuesday's contest riding a 50-match winning streak that has spanned the last three seasons. Did EP care? Nope. The Townies dominated the match winning all three games to end La Salle's impressive run. Senior Amanda Cabral led EP with 15 digs, eight kills, two blocks and two aces en route to the victory. Riding that momentum into Thursday's match at Cumberland, the Townies swept all three games again for their second win of the week.
See for yourself: Wednesday vs. Lincoln H.S., 6:30 p.m.
GIRLS TENNIS
Rebecca Curran, St. Mary - Bay View: Curran steamrolled her way through the RIIL state singles tournament this past weekend, without losing a single game. She began her quest for the title on Friday by defeating Providence Country Day's Maize Humphrey, 6-1, 6-0, and followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Laura Fortunato of Classical in the second round. The quarterfinals and semifinals were played Sunday due to Saturday's rain. Curran, however, didn't show any signs of sluggishness, rolling to two more 6-0, 6-0 victories to land her in this Sunday's title match (noon at Slater Park) with Mount St. Charles' Taylor McEldowney (No. 4 seed). The junior disposed of Lincoln School's Kirsti Toegemann in the quarters before knocking off Toegemann's teammate, Kara Hole, in the semis.
