Rankings Remix: Hawaiian Islands Top 10

Although it wasn’t as easy as the score indicates, Kahuku’s vaunted Red Raiders (8-0)  gripped the top rung of the Coaches Aid Top 10 ladder for the eighth straight week with a 30-6 win over 10th ranked Castle (5-3).    Gripping the football proved more of a challenge: there were 17 fumbles in the game. Kahuku came on strong in the second half with an effective pass rush, slamming the door on the Castle offense while scoring 21 straight points.     Farrington (7-1) stayed in the second slot  with a 20-17 win over unranked Kaimuki, while Mililani (6-2), ranked third most of the season, fell to seventh with a rousing 54-41 loss to Waianae. Waianae (5-3) moved up to fourth.    Saint Louis (7-2) cemented their fifth spot by routing top-ranked Division II Iolani (7-2), 28-0. The loss flipped Iolani and Aiea (7-1), who rode a 32-6 win into top position. It is the first time this season that Aiea has been on top.    Also in Division II< Moanalua (7-1) kept the pressure on with a 32-20 win over Kaiser.
