Rankings Remix

By JOHN BOYANOSKI
CoachesAid.com South Carolina content coordinator

Not a lot of movement in the rankings as only three of the CoachesAid.com teams lost this week. However, some key region games in the next two weeks could make for some interesting changes.

Sixth-ranked Lancaster lost a big one to South Pointe, 55-0. CoachesAid.com dropped them from the rankings. That may sound harsh, but with so many other teams winning including Irmo, the Bruins tumble. Irmo, though, makes its debut in the Top Ten.

Every team in the Top 10 won last week, but top-ranked Marlboro did look shaky against Crestwood Friday night. Another poor showing by the Bulldogs coupled with big wins by Myrtle Beach and Daniel, who is playing Belton-Honea Path Friday night, could bring some changes at the top.

Seventh-ranked Blackville Hilda lost to Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, which wasn’t horrible because the Trojans are a strong team. However, with so many good one loss teams at Class A, CoachesAid.com felt a two-loss team needed to drop out for now. C.A. Johnson makes its rankings' debut at No. 10.
